Happy 2010!!!

Happy New Year! I can't believe it's already 2010...is it me or has the last few years just zoomed by?!!! With the new year upon me, I thought it was time to start a blog and keep track of things happening in my life...albeit it being silly or serious.

With all the news the last week of 2009 about the top 10 list of events within the decade, I thought I would do my own based on events in my life.

10) Death of my grandma and uncle on my dad's side of the family and my Great-Aunt on my mom's side of the family.
9) Trip to Hong Kong/Thailand with Bonnie, Johnson & my mom...HK was so different but still very familiar; Thailand was very beautiful and fun; Still don't know if I would do a long trip with my mom. lol
8) Fracturing my right ankle ice skating and having to endure the physical therapy & crutches for many months after the surgery; Don't believe I still went to work during that time.
7) Deciding to take kenpo classes...who knew I would like it as much as I do despite the injuries & scars I've gotten from the class.
6) Trip to Ireland with Josette, Shell, Tracie & Bobbi...Ireland was so beautiful and majestic and had my first taste of beer/stout...yummy!
5) Summer trips with my sister & her family to San Diego/Disneyland & Lake Tahoe...love spending the time with my nephews and the memories of them as babies, toddlers, and now, as young boys.
4) Getting my first car from my sister...recall all of those first months driving to and from my sister's place on El Camino Real; driving on the freeway for the first time when I inadvertently turned onto Highway 280 and remembering not to panic.
3) Births of my nephew & friends' kids...I love being an aunt.
2) Moving out and getting my own place...feeling the joy of living on my own.
1) Adopting Gizmo...the unconditional love he gives me is the greatest feeling.

I'm sure I probably miss a few important events but these are the ones I recall at this time.

One thing I would always add on my top 10 every decade is the love & support that I get from my family and friends. I feel special and cherish that feeling always.
